About me
"My goal is to help your company improve performance and culture through creative eLearning solutions."
I am a life-long learner. Knowing why something is the way it is, or the reason for it, is essential to learning and retaining what has been learned. This is what has led me to become an Instructional Designer - helping your employees learn and grow, and helping your organisation reach its goals.
My first love in school was language, specifically French, so in college, I pursued this passion for language with a French and International Business major. This led me to work for a French bank, gaining valuable experience in corporate loans. Transitioning to an American bank, I continued to excel in the banking industry, earning a promotion to Assistant Vice President. When 9/11 happened, it prompted me to look inward and question what my contribution to society was. I had always loved French, and always loved learning and sharing that with others, so I pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching while taking graduate French classes. I made a bold career shift and became a French teacher several years ago.
When I decided to move in another direction I researched many possibilities that would combine my skill sets from education and the corporate world. Now, I am ready to redirect my instructional passion, and challenge myself to leverage my corporate and education expertise in the field of Instructional Design. I have created learning modules in both Articulate Rise and Storyline, moving through Alpha, Beta, and gold revisions implementing feedback received from reviewers. In addition, I have created design documents and storyboards informed by adult learning theories as well as SAM and ADDIE processes. My goal is to help your company improve performance and culture through creative eLearning solutions.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy traveling, immersing myself in French WWII history and literature, nurturing my gardening skills (still a novice!), and prioritizing my physical well-being through activities like Pilates.
